DADA POETRY LOLLIPOP STICKS
Dada poetry, a technique loved by William Burroughs and David Bowie, involves cutting up words from an article and rearranging them to create new meaning. Sometimes the effect is nonsense, sometimes it is funny, sometimes wise, sometimes prophetic. With these handpainted lollipop sticks I have paid tribute to the old-fashioned lolly sticks which had jokes printed on them. I painted these using Humbrol and nail polish. All are mounted and framed.
